One day, I’d love to build a whole catalog/archive of these whimsical fashion and fashion design showcases, but that’s a future goal for us haha. I really enjoy sharing designs this way because it feels so much more personal and in-depth than just posting the final outfit by itself. I love being able to share the inspiration, story, artwork, and thought process behind each piece.
Honestly, one of these days I’d also love to share speedpaints, sketchbook pages, or drawing/design processes too! I think it could be really fun to show more behind the scenes of how Nyahallo pieces come to life.
Would anyone actually be interested in seeing things like that though?!
Without further ado, let’s get into the collection!
1) Bluebell Crop Cardigan & Shorts
The Bluebell Cropped Cardigan & Shorts was inspired by whimsical fashion, fairycore aesthetics, and the feeling of soft storybook clothing. We wanted these outfits to feel dreamy and magical, almost like flower fairies hidden away in a quiet spring garden. Bluebells have always felt delicate and enchanting to us, so we tried to capture that feeling through pastel lavender and sage color palettes, layered petal silhouettes, floral details, and braided textures.
Like many Nyahallo designs, this collection first began as simple sketches before slowly evolving into wearable fantasy-inspired fashion designed to feel playful, cozy, and elegant all at once.
2) Bluebell Dress
The Bluebell Dress was designed to feel like something out of a fairytale or fantasy storybook. We wanted this piece to capture the soft and dreamy feeling of whimsical fashion through layered petal-shaped skirts, oversized floral collars, and delicate puff sleeves inspired by bluebell flowers.
The soft lavender color palette was paired with sage green accents to resemble real spring flowers, while the translucent patterned sleeves were added to give the dress a light and magical feeling. We especially loved experimenting with the petal layering on the skirt because it helped the silhouette feel more floral and fantasy-inspired while still remaining wearable.
This design is part of our ongoing love for fairycore fashion, romantic fantasy clothing, and whimsical wearable art inspired by nature.
3) Bluebell Cardigan
The Bluebell Oversized Cardigan was designed to feel soft, cozy, and comforting while still fitting into the whimsical fairycore aesthetic of the collection. We wanted this piece to resemble hanging bluebell flower vines, which inspired the oversized sleeves, braided knit details, and floral accents flowing down the arms.
The pastel lavender and sage green color palette was inspired by real bluebell flowers and spring gardens, while the oversized silhouette was created to feel warm and easy to layer with everyday outfits. We especially loved combining soft knitwear with fantasy-inspired floral details to create something that feels both wearable and magical at the same time.
4) Bluebell Summer Dress
Compared to the more formal Bluebell Dress, the Bluebell Summer Dress was designed to feel lighter, softer, and more playful. To me, this feels almost like something a flower princess would wear while wandering through a spring garden. We wanted this piece to feel especially delicate and feminine, with flowing petal-inspired layers, soft translucent sleeves, and trailing vine details that give the dress a dreamy fairytale feeling.
The off-shoulder silhouette and pastel lavender color palette were designed to feel airy and romantic, while the layered skirt panels were inspired by overlapping flower petals. We also loved adding soft lace details and hanging leaf accents to make the dress feel more whimsical and nature-inspired without becoming overly complicated.
5) Bluebell Corset Blouse Top
The Bluebell Corset Blouse Top was designed to feel delicate, romantic, and a little princess-like while still being easy to style with other pieces in the collection. We wanted this design to have a softer silhouette compared to the dresses, with more focus on the floral collar, translucent puff sleeves, and corset-inspired bodice details.
The pastel lavender tones and sage green accents were inspired by real bluebell flowers, while the petal-shaped hems and hanging floral details were added to make the top feel more whimsical and fantasy-inspired. One of our favorite details is probably the sheer patterned sleeves because they help the blouse feel light and airy without losing that cozy storybook feeling.
This piece was imagined as something that could work both as part of a full fairycore outfit or styled more casually with skirts, shorts, or layered knitwear.
6) Bluebell Skirt
The Bluebell Skirts were designed to feel soft, flowy, and storybook-inspired, almost like layered flower petals swaying in the wind. We wanted these skirts to have a very dreamy fairycore silhouette while still being versatile enough to pair with multiple tops from the collection.
One of our favorite details is the petal-shaped overskirt layered over the contrasting underskirt, which was inspired by the shape of blooming bluebell flowers. The lace-like trim and corset-inspired waist ties were added to make the design feel extra delicate and princessy without becoming overly complicated.
We also experimented with two different colorways for this piece. The lavender version feels softer and more whimsical, while the dusty blue version gives the skirt a slightly cooler and more woodland-inspired feeling. We honestly loved both so much that we couldn’t decide between them.
