Because our pieces are intricately illustrated and ethically produced by a small family team, we operate on a pre-order model. This allows us to create only what is truly wanted, reduce waste, and dedicate our full attention to detail and craftsmanship.
OUR TWO PRE-ORDER MODELS
At Nyahallo, we offer limited, artist-designed pieces through two types of pre-order models depending on where the item is in its "life cycle." Every item begins as an original concept, illustrated in-house by our skilled artists, then moves through sampling, production, and finally shipping to you.
We’ve successfully fulfilled thousands of pre-orders using this process, with many happy customers who have received and reviewed their pieces. Find your starting line!
Note: Because Phase 1 items are based on illustrations, minor refinements may occur during sampling to ensure the best possible real-world fit and quality.

1-1.5 YEARS?! Why on earth would I choose Phase 1?
We know that waiting over a year is a meaningful commitment. Phase 1 is created for our most dedicated collectors, it's for those who want to be part of the creative journey from the very beginning.
As a thank you for supporting the earliest stage of production, Phase 1 orders receive a discount that will not be available once the item moves to Phase 2 or in-stock status. Most of our pieces are limited in some way, and by the time a physical sample is completed in Phase 2, certain sizes or styles may already be sold out. Phase 1 secures your place.
Phase 1 supporters are often the first to see prototypes, and your feedback during sampling helps us refine small details before the final production run. You’re not just ordering, you’re helping shape the piece.

How do I know this is legit?
In a world built around fast fashion and instant shipping, a 1-1.5 year timeline can feel shocking at first. But over the years, we’ve successfully fulfilled thousands of pre-orders, and it means so much to us every time a piece finally reaches its home. You can see photos and kind words from customers on our reviews page, as well as in our Instagram highlights and tagged posts.
Many of our now-loved pieces began as Phase 1 pre-orders including the Fox hoodies, Fox shrugs, Red Panda hoodies, and the Fox, Shark, and Pigeon wallets. Every single item in our shop started as concept art and was brought to life step by step with the support of our community.
Nyahallo is run by a small, dedicated team of friends. We aren’t a faceless corporation and share behind-the-scenes glimpses of our sampling process and the family-owned factories we work with because we want you to see how your piece is made.
All transactions are handled securely, and our flexible Phase 1 cancellation policy ensures you’re never “locked in.” If you ever feel uncertain before sample finalization, you can cancel for a full refund. We want you to feel confident and comfortable every step of the way.

We provide shipping estimates by quarter (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4). Because we partner with a small, artisanal production team, we value a sustainable, careful pace over strict deadlines.

Shipping Note:
If your order includes multiple pre-order items with different timelines, your package will ship once all items are ready. If you’d prefer to receive items as they become available, we recommend placing separate orders.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why pre-order?
When you place a pre-order, you’re directly funding the creation of wearable art. This model allows a small business like ours to produce detailed, high-quality designs without relying on mass production or creating unnecessary waste. Your support makes each piece possible.
Why can’t you give an exact delivery date or deadline?
Because with made-to-order production, an exact date simply is not realistic. Brands that provide precise delivery dates typically either already have stock in hand or repeatedly push deadlines back when delays occur. We learned that when a piece is being sampled and produced from scratch, there are too many moving variables to guarantee a specific day, which is why we prefer to update as we go!
For example, a factory may estimate production will take 45 days. We may share that estimate accordingly. Then 40 days later, we are informed that a mistake was discovered and part or all of the production must be redone. This has happened before! In situations like that, the original date becomes inaccurate overnight. Rather than repeatedly revising deadlines and creating frustration, we choose to provide a broader time window. This reduces unnecessary updates and sets more realistic expectations from the beginning.

Do I pay to secure my pre-order? Do I pay twice?
Yes, payment is collected at the time you place your pre-order to secure your item. No, this is a one-time payment. You will not be charged again later.
Can I cancel my pre-order?
Yes. Contact support, and you will receive a 100% full refund at any time before shipping.
What if I still have questions?
We’re a small team, and while we always do our best, we’re human and sometimes make mistakes. If you have questions about your order or concerns about a timeline update, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

INTEREST CHECK (PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
Interest survey items are products that Nyahallo may potentially release in the future. They are marked as "out of stock" and will remain that way until/if they are released into the shop. Many of these items are in the sample making phase (aka, the process of prototyping or turning the design into a real, usable item). These items are presented to gauge customer interest in them. The customer feedback and responses to the interest check items helps me to determine whether a product should be released or not. Interest check items usually have a sketch or drawing that can provide customers with an idea of what the product would look like if it were to be released, along with an estimated price range.
Customers can provide feedback about the item by clicking the "notify me when available" button and Nyahallo will use this feedback to determine whether to move forward with releasing the item.
Q. Is there an ETA when these items are available for pre-order?
A. Currently, there is no ETA. It can be a few months until an item releases for pre-order, or it can take up to a year+. The sample making process for every single item is unique and it can vary greatly. We will update our website as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your interest in our products.
Q. Is there a way to reserve a pre-order for one of these items?
A. Unfortunately it's not possible to reserve a pre-order until the items have been finalized for release, however you can be immediately notified for the items interest upon release by clicking the "notify me when available" button and inputting your email address. This will allow you to receive an email when the pre-order is available. You can also stay up to date with any updates about the item by subscribing to my email newsletter and following my social media platforms.
Q. Which of the interest check items will get samples and how is it determined by?
A. It is determined by both popularity and the designers' personal preferences. For example, I may make a sample of an item even if it's not too popular if I personally like it and have a good vision for this item, however in most cases I will have a sample made for the most popular designs.
Q. How else can I show support or interest for an item?
A. Engaging with my posts on social media truly helps! Commenting with your favourite colourway(s), sharing the post with your friends and voting in polls which I release on my various social media platforms all let me know which items are in demand.
Q. Will interest check items be released as pre-orders, or as in-stock items?
A. Every single item at Nyahallo is run as a pre-order first. This is to reduce risk as we are a small business run from home and ensure that we do not overstock items and create crowding. This also reduces waste. Once the pre-order runs are over and the bulk production items have been delivered to Nyahallo facilities and shipped out to the customers who initially pre-ordered the items, the leftover quantities will then be added to the website as in-stock items.
