Hey Nyamily!
I’m Jen, the owner and designer behind Nyahallo. I wanted to share some updates about how we’re continuing to improve and grow. Your feedback means everything to us, and we’re committed to creating the best possible experience for everyone who supports our brand.
1) Our Values: Quality and Materials
We know that you don’t want cheap, shiny polyester. That kind of material belongs at Shein, not in your closet. We hear you loud and clear that you want beautiful pieces made from cotton and natural materials that are better for your skin, breathability, and comfort. We always prioritize quality and want you to feel amazing in everything you wear from Nyahallo.
2) Customer Service Improvements
As many of you have already noticed, we’ve made significant improvements to our customer service. One new thing we’ve started doing is making sure customers who email the wrong address get redirected properly, so no one falls through the cracks. We’ve also been privately reaching out to customers who leave comments to help resolve concerns more personally. We truly value every single customer and every experience, and we use all your feedback to keep growing and improving the business.
3) New Designs and Creative Growth
We’re really proud of the quality and creativity of the designs we’re producing right now. I’m also exploring the idea of occasionally commissioning external artists to create unique designs for Nyahallo, while still keeping our original vision at the core of the brand. That said, I’d love to hear from all of you. Is there something specific you’d love to see from Nyahallo? Drop your suggestions below, and if there’s enough interest and it feels like a good fit for us, we’d love to consider designing it.
4) Update Improvements
We’ve added a progress bar to the preorder updates page and will begin implementing weekly updates to keep everyone in the loop this week. What do you guys think of these changes? Let me know if you have any feedback or ideas for how we can make updates even clearer or more helpful.
5) A Few Things About Nyahallo
I also wanted to share a few things about who we are as a brand, for anyone who’s new here or curious about our journey:
-
I never went to business school or art school. Everything I’ve built with Nyahallo has been learned from scratch through trial, error, and passion.
-
We’ve never hired marketing companies or outsourced our operations. Every part of Nyahallo, from the designs to the social media, is created in-house with love and dedication.
-
We’ve never taken out loans to fund the business. Nyahallo has been 100% community-funded since day one, and that’s something I’m extremely proud of.
-
Nyahallo has always been owned and operated by independent artists. We have never drop shipped or resold anyone else’s products. Everything you see from us is original and made for our community.
-
We pack and ship all our orders ourselves in-house. Every package you receive has literally passed through our own hands, and we put care into each and every one.
-
We believe deeply in high quality for value. We’re committed to avoiding cheap, shiny polyesters and only use synthetics when absolutely necessary, like for swimwear, workout wear, or where nylon offers better performance and durability than natural fabrics.
-
We’re passionate about size inclusivity and are actively expanding into more masculine and unisex options because everyone deserves to feel fabulous. This is still a work in progress, but we’re committed to making it happen.
Thank you so much for being here and for supporting Nyahallo. It truly means the world to me. I’m excited for all the things we’re creating, and I can’t wait to keep growing together with you.
With gratitude,
Jen
