Understanding Preorder Cancellations and Refund Methods

Understanding Nyahallo Preorders, Cancellations and Refunds

Nyahallo creates highly customized clothing and accessories in small production runs. Many of our products require original artwork, custom patterns, specialized materials, multiple samples and manufacturing processes that are not used for ordinary in-stock merchandise.

Because of this, our preorder process works differently from purchasing an item that is already available in a warehouse. We want customers to understand how preorder estimates, cancellations and refunds are handled.

Preorder timelines are estimates

Every preorder includes an estimated production timeline. This is our best estimate based on the information available when the preorder opens, but it is not a guaranteed delivery date.

A product may require additional sampling or revisions before it can safely enter production. Delays may also occur because of material availability, manufacturing capacity, quality-control concerns, international shipping or circumstances outside Nyahallo’s direct control.

Some Nyahallo products can take 18 months or longer to complete. When a product needs additional development, we may revise its estimated completion period and provide updates as information becomes available.

We understand that an extended wait can be frustrating. However, taking additional time to correct a product is sometimes necessary to ensure that the final item properly represents the original design.

Requesting a cancellation

Customers may contact Nyahallo Support to request cancellation in accordance with the terms applicable to their order.

When a monetary refund is approved, it must ordinarily be returned through the original payment method used for the purchase. This is a payment-security requirement intended to protect both customers and businesses from fraud.

Nyahallo cannot redirect a card refund to:

  • A different credit or debit card

  • A newly opened bank account

  • Another person’s account

  • A PayPal account that was not used for the original purchase

  • An unrelated payment service selected after the transaction

This restriction does not mean that Nyahallo is refusing to issue a refund. It means that the refund must follow the secure payment channel associated with the original purchase.

What if the original card or account is closed?

Customers should contact their original card issuer or financial institution before requesting that a refund be redirected elsewhere.

Refunds sent to expired or cancelled cards are often forwarded by the card issuer to a replacement card or otherwise returned to the verified account holder. The exact process is controlled by the customer’s financial institution, not Nyahallo.

If the financial institution rejects the refund, the customer should obtain documentation showing that the refund failed and contact Nyahallo Support. We can then review the transaction and determine what secure options may be available. Alternative refund methods are not automatic and may require identity and account-ownership verification.

For security reasons, customers should never send sensitive banking information through ordinary email unless specifically directed to use an approved secure process.

Why doesn’t Nyahallo use PayPal for these preorders?

Nyahallo does not accept PayPal for products with lengthy preorder and development periods. PayPal’s standard transaction, authorization and buyer-protection timeframes are not designed for orders that may remain in development for 18 months or longer.

We also cannot create a PayPal refund for an order that was originally purchased through a different payment processor. Refunds must remain connected to the original transaction whenever possible.

Not offering PayPal does not prevent Nyahallo from accepting a valid cancellation request through the payment method originally used.

Store credit and exchanges

Depending on the circumstances, customers may also be offered an exchange or store credit. Store credit is not the same as a monetary refund, and we will identify it clearly as store credit.

A customer who accepts store credit can apply it toward an eligible future Nyahallo purchase under the terms provided when the credit is issued.

Our commitment

Nyahallo is a small independent business producing complicated, original garments in limited quantities. Extended development periods are not the result of orders being forgotten. They reflect the amount of work sometimes required to turn an original design into a safe, wearable and manufacturable product.

At the same time, we understand that customers need clear information. We are continuing to improve our preorder descriptions, production updates and customer-support procedures.

Questions about a particular order should be sent directly to Nyahallo Support with the customer’s order number. For privacy and security, we cannot discuss individual orders publicly.
