Whimsical Fashion Design Showcase: The Strawbunny Collection

Hello Nyamily! Here's a newer collection, and I think it might be one of my favorites so far. I have a weakness for strawberries, bunny themes, and a good pun, so the Strawbunny collection was pretty much destined to steal my heart!

Up until now, I've been posting the newer designs first and then working my way backwards through some of our older collections to gauge interest, but this one was simply too cute not to share early. 

At the time I'm writing this, I haven't even had the chance to show every design from this collection on social media yet. So if you're seeing this blog post first, you'll be getting a sneak peek at the entire collection before thousands of people across our social platforms do! That means you're part of a much smaller group getting an early look behind the scenes, and I think that's pretty special. I've been getting a small number of questions about whether these interest check designs will actually become real products, and while it's not something I get asked often, I still wanted to address it!

The short answer is yes. At some point, the majority of our more popular collections will be sampled and considered for production.

However, as a small slow-fashion brand, the timeline can be much longer than people might expect. Some designs may take two years or even longer to release, especially more complex dresses or collections with a lot of custom details. Sampling isn't a quick or simple process, particularly for designs with the level of detail and construction that many of ours have, and we don't want to rush that process.

We are actively growing, though, and one of our goals is to make development more efficient over time. We're working as hard as we can to bring new designs to life, but please keep in mind that Nyahallo is still run by a very small team, even if our social media presence sometimes makes us look much bigger than we are.

Without further ado, let's hop right into these berry sweet designs!

1) Strawbunny Cottagecore Dress



The Strawbunny Cottagecore Dress is the centerpiece of the collection and captures everything I wanted this theme to be. Inspired by strawberry patches, storybook charm, and curious little bunnies, it's designed to feel sweet, whimsical, and cozy all at once.

The dress features a pink gingham skirt, a scalloped apron panel embroidered with tiny strawberries and bunny faces, and a large statement bow on the back. Strawberry-inspired bows, puffy sleeves, and a corset-style waist detail help bring the cottagecore aesthetic to life.

With its warm strawberry pinks, creamy neutrals, and chocolate brown accents, this design quickly became one of my favorites in the collection. It's playful, detailed, and everything I imagine when I think of the word "strawbunny." 

2) Strawbunny Cottagecore Vested Top

The Strawbunny Cottagecore Vested Top combines a blouse and waistcoat-inspired silhouette into one whimsical design. Featuring oversized pink gingham sleeves, embroidered strawberry vines, and two tiny bunny companions on the front panel, it's packed with playful little details.

A ribbon necktie and warm strawberry pink and chocolate brown tones help tie the piece into the rest of the collection, creating a look that feels sweet, cozy, and straight out of a vintage storybook!

3) Strawbunny Cottagecore Blouse

The Strawbunny Cottagecore Blouse was designed to be one of the softer, more romantic pieces in the collection. Featuring a delicate strawberry-and-bunny print, voluminous sleeves, and an off-shoulder silhouette, it captures the whimsical charm of a storybook strawberry patch.

A corset-inspired waist detail helps balance the blouse's flowing shape, while the strawberry clasp at the neckline adds a playful finishing touch. With its soft pink palette and dreamy silhouette, this piece was designed to feel sweet, feminine, and effortlessly cottagecore. 

4) Strawbunny Pajama Set

The Strawbunny Cottagecore PJ Set is what I imagine wearing after a long day spent picking strawberries and chasing bunnies through the garden. Designed with a playful strawberry-and-bunny print, soft ruffles, and a bunny bow centerpiece, it's one of the sweetest pieces in the collection.

The scalloped hem and oversized sleeves give the set a playful storybook feel, while the soft pink and cream palette keeps it light and dreamy. If the Strawbunny collection had a piece made purely for comfort, this would be it!

5) Strawbunny Cottagecore Skirt

The Strawbunny Cottagecore Skirt combines gingham panels, strawberry-inspired layers, and a fluffy bunny charm waistband into one sweet design. The asymmetrical layered construction gives the skirt extra movement and dimension, while the mix of soft pinks, cream, and chocolate brown ties it perfectly into the rest of the collection.

I wanted this piece to feel playful and versatile, whether paired with the matching top or styled on its own. The layered silhouette reminds me of strawberry petals unfolding, with little bunny details tucked throughout for an extra touch of whimsy!

6) Strawbunny Knit Cardigan

The Strawbunny Knit Cardigan brings together cozy cable knit textures, sweet strawberry details, and subtle bunny motifs for a piece that feels straight out of a cottagecore storybook. Embroidered strawberries trail down the sleeves, while bunny-inspired knit patterns and a strawberry bow closure add playful charm without overwhelming the design.

Soft, cozy, and easy to layer, this cardigan was designed to pair perfectly with the rest of the Strawbunny collection while still being cute enough to wear on its own. 

Little note! The brown shorts and basic white top underneath aren't actually part of the collection. I just wanted to show how the cardigan could be styled with simple everyday pieces! Though if enough of you want them, I'd be happy to look into sampling the shorts and top too.

7) Strawbunny Knit Sweater 

The Strawbunny Knit Sweater is one of the coziest pieces in the collection, featuring cable knit textures, embroidered strawberry vines, and two sleepy bunnies nestled among the leaves. Strawberry accents trail down the sleeves, while the oversized silhouette and soft ruffle trim give it a sweet, storybook-inspired feel.

Designed as a comfy everyday piece, this sweater blends cottagecore charm with a cozy knitwear aesthetic that's perfect for cooler days. 

Please note: The blue jeans shown are not part of the collection and are only included to help visualize styling. If enough people would like matching bottoms, I'd definitely be open to exploring them in the future!

Are these designs real products? Not yet, but they can be. These pieces are currently concept art and interest checks. Designs with enough community interest may eventually become real products.
